"This package covers Buddy Holly's pivotal recordings of 1956, and
includes stereo masters not only previously unissued, but whose very existence
will be unknown to even the most committed of fans. There's also more session
talk than has previously been made public, together with superior sound
quality versions of some tracks that have been previously released; also
included is a detailed 36 page booklet with notes by John Ingman, contributions
from Colin Davies and Sonny Curtis, plus several unpublished photographs.
This is, to use an overworked phrase, a 'must' for Buddy Holly fans.

John Mathewson wrote; "Roller Coaster issued this one in two packaging
options; the first is a conventional CD crystal case with a 34-page booklet
and a 2-CD set, while the other is a 3-segment card sleeve folder, with
the same contents. The
booklet is the usual excellent quality we’ve come to expect from
Roller Coaster, with rare photos and some interesting snippets of information – such
as list of songs Buddy Holly compiled in 1956 (evidently with a view to
learning them), plus the interview with Bobby Peeples about the ‘lost
tapes’."
